Dishes and Laundry

Hello again, it's been a minute since my first burst of energy that allowed me to start this blog. I was watching a cooking video by Inga Lam and I felt reminded of the that instagram post that floats around saying that if life is an endless cycle of dirty dishes and laundry, that means life is also a cycle of warm food and clean clothes. Given my current state of near unemployment life does seem quite boring. On the days where I don't have kids to tutor, I spend my days playing video games, watching youtube, cooking, reading books, or some form of excercise. Now I know that it seems silly to be complaining about that, especially given the current terrors going on in the world but I am quite bored out of my mind. I seem to be watching all my peers press forward on their journey of life while I'm stuck in a waiting phase of nothingness.

Anyways, what was I saying? Oh yes, life is a cycle of daily tasks and chores until we die. Hm, what do I think about that... It is quite sad if you think about it like that. I did read an SAT passage yesterday while tutoring a kid that talked about the daily, seemingly meaningless tasks that keep life going are the root of beauty which seems to hold some truth to it. This type of philosophy does often lead me into circles of thinking where I never quite know where to end. I am quite blessed to be living my current life. I think I put quite a high value on things moving forward in my life, and that leads to me feeling like my current state isn't valuable. When I run into friends to catch up with them, I don't have anything to show for my time currently except my test score but even that has sort of lost its brilliance as time goes on. I wonder if this is just from being raised under the capitalistic mindset of always needing to be productive or if there's something that just pushes humans to push forward.

Unfortunately today as well I have not baked anything to post about which is quite sad considering the title of this blog. However, perhaps tomorrow brings some bread with it.
